Hello I built this sled a year ago from some pictures out of the Sno-Pro book. What I wanted was more than just a clone of a Shark. I wanted to be ISR legal for oval racing including a challenge or a bet that I made with someone to prove that I can build something from a picture. I started out with a bare tunnel from an Intruder. The bulk head I made close to what I thought would work in a oval type race sled. Front to back everything was custom fabricated the only thing's that was used from the Kawasaki was the tunnel, tail light, tach, spindles & arms, shock mounts, engine. The rest of the sled I fabricated. The engine is a little different than just a 4/6 Invader there were mods done to make it look like the real deal, like where the water pump is. The sled still has the practice hood on it which is something I used for the time being.
I brought the sled upto the VSCA National Show this past year to take 1st place in 84' an older currently race class.

A little change since the last time everyone saw it. I hand made the hood from scratch. It now is a Kawasaki Shark here is a picture.

On making this hood it took 6 tries so a big learning curve in fiberglass land. I also changed a list of things to the chassis to get the hood to sit lower. Everything was re-done including the engine yesterday was the first time it ran since the new engine & the hood being done. It's amazing how low the sled really sits verse my other sleds and how much more power it has since last year.

Sprocket, your talents are simply amazing not only with this sled but everything else you fabricate. Wish I could have seen it run at Waconia. Are you planning to bring it to either the Detroit Lakes or TRF show/rides?

Very nice sled, Greg. Looks like all your hard work really paid off - it's a masterpiece. That hood looks perfect!
