Title: 1980 Invader and 1980 LTD suspension differences
Post by: Lloyd (ljm) on January 28, 2013, 05:04:56 PM

Can anyone tell me the differences in the suspension between a 1980 LTD and a 1980 Invader?

The spec sheet on the model identification page of this site they sure look different.

 Thanks
 Lloyd

Lloyd, the stock invader suspension was pretty much the same 79 & 80 - very similar to the Intruder.  The LTD introduced the vari-ride with 4 springs - one on each corner.  They ride better than the stock suspension.

 That is what I wondered.

Lloyd, I think that you need to get one.  Or two ;-)

lol

Only one has the vari-ride. other has a polaris suspension.

If I get them (95% chance I will) I already have a buyer for one.

If I keep thinking about this I will be leaving a 5am to go get them.  :)
