Stripping down 79 Intruder

Ok here I am the other day trying to get the belly pan off. I got everything except the two spindles off. I undid the two bults, Now How do you separate them?

I have put bolts back into the spindles without the large flat washers, and used a large drive punch or steel rod and hammer them out. Make sure you bottom the bolts out. This can wreck the bolts, but save the spindles.

The spindles have a bushing at the top and one at the bottom. In between them is , well, nothing. I have seen them accumulate rust in there and make them tough to get out. Lots of penetrating fluid......
