A batch of suspension shafts going to a good home soon.  I put grease groves in the pivot shafts.

I am interested in how the new owner feels about the grease groves.

Shafts received!  The grease grooves look great!!!  Thanks!

I have a few more in stock and can make any of them.

I have a complete motor if you can't make the stuff you have work.  Last time I parked it. it ran good.  It's in a franken sled that I bought many years ago and have other plans for the tunnel.

Thanks Interceptor398, I might take you up on that if this other sled doesn't work out.

Thanks

JB

Like he said, yes, all pretty much the same.  The 78 is unique in that it only has one groove next to the center bearings where the other years have two.  So the 78 crank will go into the other year blocks but the other year cranks will not be a direct drop in to the 78 block.  Factory jetting also varied a little.  Pilot jets stayed the same but main jets varied from 140 to 170 and econojets from 120 to 150.  I have always attributed this to Kawasaki attempting to get the sled dialed into a sweet spot.  I am not smart enough to see any actual differences in the carburetors year over year.  In the end we have settled on 25 pilot, 150 main, and 120/130 econojets in all our Intruders from 78 to 81.

They are basically the same engines.  The shrouding and card jetting's can vary.

Hi all,

I have a 1978 Intruder 440. The engine is TA440C-A201, and the sled I am about to buy as a donor sled is a 1979 Intruder 440. It is coming with 3 engines, one in the sled and two extras. I am not sure of the model of 1 of the engines but I know it is out of an intruder just not sure on the year yet.

So my question is, are all of the 440 Intruder engines the same?

Thanks

JB
