Thinking of selling #553. My collection is just too big, and I could use the cash to finish #366...
Runs good, but needs the jetting tweeked. It has recently had a partial restoration. IMO, it is an 8 out of 10... Here is a quick rundown:
-rebuilt crank (by Crankshaft Services)
-All new seals and gaskets
-engine put together with the original bores, pistons, rings
-no porting
-original pipes in good shape
-new mikuni carb boots (not the cheapo spi stuff)
-Powdercoated Invader ski's with new hardweld wearbars
-Eastcoast seat cover, professionally installed (has the original Kawasaki elbem on the back)
-Just resealed the heat exchanger
-Lots of misc brackets have been powdercoated
-powdercoated front bumper
-new high volume Mikuni fuel pump
-clean 38mm mikuni's bored to 39.5mm
-new aftermarket windshield
-NOS speedo and tach
-working orignal temp gauge
-All rear suspension bearings replaced
-new hifax
-all rear suspension brackets are powdercoated and installed with Stainless steel hardware
-original studded track in good shape
-new bearings and seals in chaincase
-both clutches were gone though and rebuilt
-the original plastic belly pan has been patched, but it was done REALLY nice, and unless you are really looking for it you can barely tell
-the tunnel also has some damage repaired
-the original plastic dash is in good condition
-hood has some scratches and cracks
-hood has original decals
-lots of small NOS parts used when reassembling it, speedo cable, exhaust boots, guages, etc
This Interceptor is real nice. It has alot of powdercoat, and stainless steel hardware throughout. It's not perfect, but it shows nice, and is a great rider! I would like to get $3000 for it. I have more than that invested. Located in Northern Michigan. PM me if interested.
