Title: Invader 440 power problems/ wont rev up
Post by: kawiinvader440 on December 28, 2012, 03:24:17 PM
My invader 440 starts up fine but when you give it throttle it just bogs and wont move and seems to have no power. When I lifted up the track it would take a while for it to get going but would not rev up very high. I checked the spark and it did not have a very big spark. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the rope kick back when you are starting it?

I had one once that ran really rich, Wasn't terible hard to start but would not rev up. Switched CDI's and it ran like a top.

I would start with a compression check.

Fouled plug?

Seal failure?

Belt worn beyond serviceable limits?

New Kawasaki to you, pull the motor and change seals.

Idle speed set too low, or maybe carb balance?  Start with the compression check.
