Best fuel line!
« on: November 15, 2012, 11:40:36 AM »
I am curious what people think is the best fuel line, in the past I have purchased rolls of clear line that were said stay flexable in the cold, however it seems like they're harder then a rock in no time...

I see there is blue polyurathene line at my supplier, will this stuff stay soft?

Thanks for any information pertaining to this!

I use the blue stuff, it stays "soft"...But soft is a relative term as its not real soft to start with...  It does seem to hold up well over time.

Have used the "blue stuff" for years, the pink stuff works a little better. Just make sure you have the 7/32 and not the 1/4, as it will leak without clamps.

Superthane Ester is the best I have seen or used so far. It's super tough, stays completely soft and flexable in freezing temps and after a year has not hardened or discolored from fuel, fuel fumes or oil.I get it from my local farm equipment store but it can be had online.

That stuff sounds great and I like the price...

You using a 3/16 ID for main line and 1/8 for primer?

I use 1/4" ID with spring hose clamps on every end and nothing leaks. The primer hose is 1/8' ID I do believe.

I have always used the yellow DuPont "tygon" line. You do need to clamp it but it stays nice  forever!

that's them but they don't always list the fuel line. Last time I got some I had to call them for it.
