Kawasaki Owners / Green Invader Project
« Last post by gixxer6 on May 05, 2024, 08:05:56 AM »
Here’s my latest project…. It’s an 80’ Invader 440 with the lightweight 78 hood.  I picked the hood up locally that had been freshly painted green with a heavy silver flake (the pictures don’t do it justice).  I had custom decals made, they are 78 Invader decals but all solid black.

I just finished my least favorite part of a restoration, the rear skid….  New bearings, slides, all cracks welded, and powder coated.  A shout out to Interceptor398 for supplying better-than-new cross shafts with spiral cut grease grooves.  I also replaced the front limiter strap shaft with steel for added strength.

Discussion & Help / ltd carb conversion
« Last post by sappony on May 04, 2024, 06:35:42 PM »
Hello all, i know that this has been a topic previously discussed. I cant find a past thread. After 6 years I have just recovered my restored 81 ltd that was supposedly crashed but not, then taken and put in a basement....Now i have it and need to go over the whole sled and want to do the butterfly to slide carb conversion....Does anyone have the list of items needed.
i understand ill need 2 carbs ...what size carbs and whats the proper jetting along with the throttle cables....what else would i need? oh i guess if someone can link a previous thread with the info, that would work.
thanks for any help its greatly appreciated

A batch of suspension shafts going to a good home soon.  I put grease groves in the pivot shafts.

I am interested in how the new owner feels about the grease groves.

Shafts received!  The grease grooves look great!!!  Thanks!

I have a few more in stock and can make any of them.

I have a complete motor if you can't make the stuff you have work.  Last time I parked it. it ran good.  It's in a franken sled that I bought many years ago and have other plans for the tunnel.

Thanks Interceptor398, I might take you up on that if this other sled doesn't work out.

Thanks

JB
