Anyone know where to get knew rear idler wheels for a 78 Invader 440? I can't seem to find them anywhere, Dennis Kirk sells some of the other wheels but not the rear ones. Also, do they all take the same bearing? I have found some replacement bearings so I'm wondering if I can just change out the bearings on the wheels, since the wheels themselves are fine. Thanks

The bearings are standard size and easy to get off Ebay or your local parts store. Get an old one out and measure it up. I know I have some here but currently can't get to them.

Thanks. Are they fairly easy to remove?

You will need a snap ring plier as they are held in with a snap ring. Put some kind of penetrating oil on it and let it sit a while. A small press of some kind is very helpful. The bearing # is 6205-RS 52.0mm OD X 25.0mm ID X 15.0mm wide should be what you need?

Awesome thanks!

Just to double check, all the wheels on the suspension take this bearing or just the back 4?

I "think" all of the but check before you buy them.

I checked the parts manual, they have the same part number so should be good.

If it turns out that you need wheels too I probably have some.

If you are buying snap ring pliers for the first time, just go ahead and get the good ones the cheap ones are a real pain. Also you can use an old bearing on top of the new to tap it into place with a hammer. Depending on your new bearing quality, you may want to add some additional grease. You can carefully pop out one of the seals to do so and then pop it back in. Some of the cheaper bearings come with very little grease in them.
