Post by: Dandb7 on January 25, 2016, 07:45:30 AM
Sleds bring smiles on all of us......even at 87, my father-in-law had a great time on the lake driving the 550 and it's younger brother of 30 years.....the Cat !!

What lake is that? My grandparents had a place on Lac Tire at the north end of Lac Archambeault. That's where I rode my first snowmobile, a 67 Snow Cruiser that my uncle bought new, and I own today.

That's right across the lake from where my grandparents' place was. It was on route 125 right across from where the road to Ski Mont Garceau is. I used to love going there as a kid. They sold it around 1990, that's when I rescued the Snow Cruiser.

Actually, I wrote up my history with that sled, then many years later just for fun, I sent it to American Snowmobiler and they printed it!

I was born and raised in Montreal, but live west of the island now.
