just picked up my second invader. this one has oil inject how can i tell if its getting enough oil or should i mix some oil to be safe.

very few oil pumps have failed. They are normally extremely reliable. Keep an eye on the oil bottle level and you should be fine. You can add some oil to the fuel but you may have problems with driveability. Too much oil means not enough gas.

It has been recommended to me to mix 100 to 1 for 1 tank on break in...
However I agree with jim the gear drive kawy pumps are tank. I have yet to hear of one failing...

aside from a broken gear,,, wouldn't a wore out plunger dump too much oil?
Oil Pump Output Test
For this test it is necessary to use premixed fuel (40 to 1).
Use a one gallon can with a hose connected to the inlet of the fuel pump.
Disconnect the oil pump output lines at oil pump.
Install separate oil tubes to each outlet and place end of each in a separate container.
Start engine and run at IDLE SPEED (3000 RPM) with OIL PUMP LEVER WIDE OPEN.
Measure the output of each tube in a calibrated glass tube.
Correct output from the tube to the crankcase should be 3.35 to 4.06 cc per minute.
The output from each tube to the cylinder fittings should be 1.68 to 2.03 cc per minute.
Replace the oil pump if output is below these specifications.

I agree, a worn pump is more likely to move too much oil than too little but a test is about the only way to be sure.

You said "this" Invader has oil injection. All Invaders had oil injection. If your first one is not running the injection, it needs to be hooked back up to ensure oil to the crank.

without the injection your center bearings will not get oil thus the reason for the feed to the center of the crankcase. the invaders have sheilds on the center bearings the intruders do not and that is the reason they do not have the 3rd feed off the pump.

Your Invader may have been changed over by using an Intruder crankshaft. Then the oil feed for the center bearing/ seal could have been eliminated.
