What next!!!!! Now my temp guage don't work but hoses etc are warm.

Hello all got my lites working on my invader but my temp guage isn't working stays around 120 doesn't seem to move? Exchangers melting snow hoses getting warm etc any ider's.

most temp gauges lose the gas that is inside the tube going from the motor to the gauge. Best bet is to find a new mechanical gauge that will fit. I believe SunPro makes a universal one that fits in the dash and bolts right into the motor with no adapters needed, even tho it comes with a bunch of them.

We had a sunpro gauge on the 440 Invader for a while.  Had some trouble getting the nut to seal.  Used quite a bit of teflon tape.

Went to azone didn't like the ones they had too flashy maybe someone on here's got one I can buy.

Take the temp gage and put it in some hot water with a thermometer to see if it is working.

I have used plenty of aftermarket ones from auto parts stores.  What is critical is the depth the seating surface.  One of my work around is to use a piece of Al pipe that is about 1/4 to 3/8 long.  The pipe must not interfere with the threads in the thermostat housing.   I cut a slot to fit the capillary tube thru and the Al acts as a shim that seats the sealing surface of the temp gauge.

Many times I have had to do this.

The gauges can leak the ether liquid that is the fluid in the gauge.
