Needing info on where to get a rebuild kit for Invader 440 fuel pump. Motor fills with fuel. Or which pump to buy new with anti syphon? Put 38 mm carbs on it with twin LTD pipes.
-
The kits that I have are LLP 07-417 - I am not sure where this last batch came from.
-
Be aware of the missing hole in one of the gaskets in this kit as you take the pump apart but this is the kit.

Thanks for the information. I ordered the kit. Next task is to find where to put the hole.

I think this is correct?? Last picture is a new gasket over the old one. Note the hole location in the bottom gasket.
-
Nice, this will work. Waiting parts. This should keep the crank case from flooding
-
I'm just curious if anyone knows what will happen if you don't punch the extra hole in the gasket? The reason why I ask is I put one together before reading up on it and missed the extra hole in the pump. it seems to be working fine, Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

the extra hole makes the auto cock [fuel shutoff] work
-
That's what I figured it did. So if I have a manual fuel shut off do you think I could run it the way it is without any trouble?
-
apparently the auto cock is open so should work god with a manual shut off

I just ordered a kit myself. I only have one actual Kawi pump, the rest have been standard Mikuni. I was losing fuel on the top end running. I've never had the standard pump fill the motor with fuel, however. Lucky I guess.
On that note, are the 2 diaphragms separate that have that large aluminum piece with the o-ring? Mine seem to be stuck together? Or does it screw together?

Your needles and seats must be in good shape. I had an intruder fill the crankcase once when I trailered it. it had the factory pump, it was pretty depressing to drive 4 hours to find the sled hydro locked.
-
I've never had one hydro lock on me. I have had them flooded from all the bouncing because of the bumpy roads. I no longer trailer my sleds when full of gas but wait until I get where I am going to fill them.
-
I got the kit in. Discovered someone had put a kit in before. The hole was missing! Amazed it ran. The old diaphragm was so hard it must have been hanging open enough to run

I think this has happened more than a couple times.

Ran good, pulled a line at idle and MUCH more fuel flowing than before! My daughter wanted a short ride so I took her around the block. I thought she'd be scared but really wasn't.

Thats cool!
