Title: Rubber carburator diaphragms
Post by: Dandb7 on August 01, 2016, 05:44:30 PM
Has anyone ever tried dielectric silicone grease on rubber carburetor diaphragms in order to preserve them for long periods of time...?

The reason for my question is, some carburetor diaphragms (like 550 Keihin 's) are very rare and need to be saved from drying and cracking....

Thanks for any replies or suggestions...!

No never tried dielectric grease but I have soaked dried diaphragms in ATF to bring them back to life with good results 8)
