Hey guys.  Does any body know if there is room to replace the 8 tooth drivers for 9 tooth.  is it worth it?

The number of teeth on the drive sprocket go from 17 - 22?  We need more info.

Sorry Guys.  I meant the Drives on the main drive shaft that drives the track.  Building a Oval Race sled.

If your shaft is 1" in diameter ? Is your chaincase rolled? If so yes a 9T will work, not sure on standard settings

Why, may I ask are you converting? The 8 tooth drivers work fine on a oval kawi.

 munkeystew,
Do you have any tentative plans to take the LTD to the races anywhere this winter?
Just curious, so that us Kawasaki fans can watch and root for you.    8)

Thanks everyone. Raced the last few years in Saskatchewan Canada's local circuit. Will do the same again. But if my season goes well I would like to hit beausejour Manitoba and or eagle river.   You can check out the association web site svora.ca
I am the one with the invader and the 340 Kawasaki snojet.#70. My son turned 14 this year so he can start racing. Was looking for a under 300 machine for him in the snojet brand but was unable but we found him a 74 skidoo TNT. He is number 292

Flying Frenchman....very nice to hear about another family participating in racing with Kawasaki's.
Good luck to you and your son this winter.

My LTD will be at all the PVR races, except Dorchester maybe. Eagle River of course, and Alexandria.  I'm hoping to improve the clutching a bit. We Dyno'd it this summer, and turns out we were way over revving it. The motor lost 15hp at the RPM I was clutched at. Anybody looking for help with sled setup, let me know. I'm more than willing to share what I've learned so far.

munkeystew....I remember watching the video of you last winter in the Eagle River race. Hard to imagine you found 15 more HP!  ;D
