How many are out there.... really.
« on: March 09, 2013, 08:00:26 PM »
So, I sold afew Ski Doo Blizzard chassis over the weekend...  in talking w/the buyer he mentioned that he had a restored Interceptor (think he said #86?).  I have also talked w/Bob Kloiber @ Image and he said he knows the gentleman w/production #1.  Bob also has Interceptor #601 in his showroom.  I know I've talked w/other vintage sledheads in the past (within a year) who also have/had owned Interceptors.  I find it interesting that many people put alot of emphasis on "total production numbers" for certain models, when in fact it is all about "how many are left" that "really" matters.  Kawasaki made roughly 1300 LTD's for 82' and only 600 Interceptors.  Well, in recent hunting I have found very few "nice" 82' LTD's in comparison to Interceptors.  Long story short...  although I would take an
Interceptor over an LTD, from a collector standpoint....  try to find a "nice" LTD for 82....  you're gonna have to pay some good $$$$                                            -I HAD TO-
