New VM32 carbs air jets
« on: November 28, 2012, 12:59:31 PM »
I am replacing the carbs on my 340 invader with two new VM32's,the new ones came with removable air jets instead of built in ones.
From what I can see the would-be jets in the original carbs is about the same size as the air hole in the needle jet(about 2.4mm).
The new carbs came with 2.0 air jets(the largest available)which are smaller than the holes in the needle jet or old carb body.
Does anybody know what the built in jet size of the factory carbs is.
If the air is metered by the size of the hole in the needle jet could I just run the new carbs without an air jet?
Any suggestions on re-jetting if I have to use the 2.0 air jet?

I saw you were in need of a carb,I would have given you one but both have stripped out choke plunger threads.
