Title: need suspension help with slide removal
Post by: tomahawkcat on January 19, 2013, 06:09:48 PM
hello i could use some ideas how to remove the slides of the rails with out wrecking them, I want to redo the whole suspension and the only way to take it all apart is to remove the slide so I can get at all those 3/8 nuts and bolts that hold the rest of the cross over brackets. With the slide on you cant get a wreck or socket on the bolts, plus i see a few of the brackets are cracked or tore by the slide also, If i weld them their wont be any room to put the nuts and bots back on , so have have to rebuild some,, so any ideas are a big help  thx

the parts i've done so far are like new , i sandblast them and wire brush on my grinder works great then i take the torch and heat the piece up and then spray with rust proof gloss black the heat helps bake the paint on seems to work better plus its burns any oil off before i paint
