Removing Duct Tape Residue

(1/2) > >>

mswyka:
Does anyone know a good way to remove duct tape residue from a fibreglass hood?  On this 89, rather than use the windscreen tabs someone thought it better to hold the windscreen with duct tape.  And, while the tape backing came off fairly easily, it has left a miserable amount of adhesive behind.  I dont want to use anything that will ruin the hood.

WD 40 can be OK.

WD40 is my normal go-to for sticker residue.  In this case the WD40 didn't cut it.  I have attached a photo for reference.

I used to use “bug and tar remover” years ago, it worked amazingly.  It was a white paste substance that came in a can.  But I used the last of it a while back and was unable to find it again.  I’ve tried a few different adhesive remover products with marginal results.
