Title: Fuel Pump Rebuild Questions
Post by: Metalman on December 29, 2012, 04:58:50 PM
I got the fuel pump on the Intruder tore down and found it to be nothing like the one described in the repair manual,  I got the rebuild kit from Parts Reloaded but the inside of my pump didn't have half the parts that came with the kit.
There was a large two pc diaphragm assembly that was included in the kit and it it only had one of the diaphragms of the two I found in my pump. I found that the rubber grommets that hold the valves were completely gone and basically dissolved right into the valves. I put in the new valves, gaskets cleaned everything and it is now filling the lines.
What pump is shown in the manual that has springs and other parts in it? Is this a fit all repair kit from Parts Reloaded?

Thanks!

Sounds to me like you have a regular pump not the kawasaki pump with the checkvalve
