I'm back...
Noticed a small fuel leak under the little elbow under the tank. Does anyone know if that is threaded in or what a fix is for it. As always I appreciate all the help. :)

If it has a hex base is should be threaded. We normally seal ours with a little permatex.
-
Thanks. Would you remove the fitting and put permatex on the thread like pipe dope and then thread it in again or just build up around it without removing it. I know I have Seal All and plastiweld in my chemical cabinet and I think those will work around gasoline but not familiar with Permatex. (Does Permatex make Plastiweld ?)

We take the fittings out and put the permatex on the threads.

Just checked the Permatex website...boy they got a lot of products...could you be a little more specific to which one? Thanks
-
I would say it has to be rated for gas immersion...

Form-a-gasket 2

Opps too late. I emptied the fuel tank and backed out the fitting and put Seal All on it and turned it back in and put mamas heat gun (hair dryer) on it for a while. I noticed on my can of Masters pipe dope with Teflon it is rated for gasoline also. That might have worked to. Maybe something to try in the future.
I don't have form a gasket 2 but have The Right Stuff one, I wonder if that or Threebond 1194 would have been a better choice. Oh we'll it's done now
Thanks for sharing your experience!
