I just missed this one!  I was emailing with the guy about it, when it sold.  It looks nice!  Congrats!  Get a good deal on it?

Gixxer6, don't know the answer to that ? yet. Was in Mi. for the weekend made the purchase on Sat. had to put two new tires on trailer to get it to Holland. Will need two more tires to make the trek to south Dakota in three weeks. I repacked wheel bearings on Sunday afternoon. Still need to get wiring up to par for trailer lights. 1981 elTgre 6000, 1981 Yamaha SRX, 1982 Kawasaki Interceptor and 4 place trailer. I really just wanted the Kawi but had to purchase the package. So I need to sell off the extra's at some point. I would like to keep them all but mama's not as impressed as I am. :D Have room for 2 to haul west between western Mi.and central south Dakota the weekend of August 23. Joel

I saw that ad and thought "gotta be a scam, no way anyone would actually have that trio." Guess I was wrong. :-[

Nice trio Joel...!

Once all of them are up and running, you and Tory can have a Sno Goer Shoot out from the past..!

I am sure mine will take some time. Stupid thing is I didn't know before hand that the 1981 Arctic Cat 6000 had a special spot in history. Kind of a special group in one purchase. Joel

All three of those sleds were "factory rated" within two horsepower of each other...    84 for the Ceptor, 84 for the Tigre and 86 for the Yami (when it is running correctly).  The Tigre weighs almost the same as the Ceptor (448lbs) and Srx a little more baggage (pogo front suspension).  All of these sleds are capable of the century mark when tuned correctly.

....Well,  you're gonna see one this winter!   Assuming we get snow.  If we get as much snow as rain this summer there will be no problem.

Hi Tory,

Would love to participate in that Shoot Out and relive that 80's showdown..!!!  If we find enough participants, the right location and the right sleds, we can even start an anuual East Coast Vintage Shoot Out....!

Wouldn't that be cool....!!!

So far...  sleds that will be at Snodeo 1000ft drags this winter....

83' Vmax 540 (First Year Vmax)    Consumer shootout winner
                                                                 81' Srx 440
                                                                 82' Interceptor
                                                                 81' Eltigre 6000 (500 liquid)
83' Polaris Indy 600 (First Year 600 IFS)
82' JD Liquifire (440 Liquid Aaen prepped heads - Invader)
82' Ski Doo 9500 (Last Year)  440 Liquid
                                                                 83' Ski Doo 9700  521 Liquid

.... and possibly more if I can haul them all!  Any bets?  I have my guess, unfortunately the Interceptor isn't my bet (even though I am a Kawi guy).

Ok, I'll bite. All stock? No triple pipes on indy? 83 Vmax have updated porting? I'm guessing Vmax, Indy, or 9700. Indy and 9700's are pretty heavy, but I'm gonna say one of them. Google mapped you and you're only 18 + hours away. Dang, this would be great fun to watch! But I don't have Tiger's jet yet (although he may be gettin' close to selling). I'm sure you will post video!

Yes, all stock Indy w/single pipe and Vmax w/updated porting.  I know the Kawi guys are probably gonna hate me for this, but here's my guess...        1st     Blizzard 9700
                                                   2nd    Indy 600
                                                   3rd     Interceptor or Vmax  (tie)
                                                   4th     Eltigre 6000

This is all in good fun...  no hard feelings.  I have been wrong before though.  If this was 660ft or half mile my choice would be different.    660ft, I'd have to give it to the Indy or Interceptor.  Half mile...  Close match between the Blizzard, Indy and Tigre.  (stock gearing would factor in).
