Title: VIN numbers and when they begin.

For instance.  For model year 1979.  What is the serial number range for that year?
340 invader was made in may,  but.  does the model year start January,  or like a car,  in July. 
If there is a serial number  ' range'  then I could tell if I have an early or a later one.

Welcome to the site!!  The repair manuals show a serial number range for the model and year sled. Not really sure how accurate they are??  I've never put them in a list but may need to think about doing that.
