440 intruder motor

we'll i was rebuilding a intruder motor and went to replace the pto end seal and there was the oil drive gear, does it pull off or do i have to split crank? by the way just bought bought on ebay another intruder motor with 800 miles on it for $39.00. it runs well but gonna do rebuild on it too. want to vintage race it next year. anybody out there done that or have any suggestions?

Pulls off.  Easiest way I've found is with a bearing puller but that's just me.

 I used a 4" gear puller and a heat gun I assume your changing the seals so you won't hurt anything with the heat and to put it back on I heated the gear again and almost slid all the way on with only a few taps to make sure it was seated.
