The other day I received an e-mail from Dennis Kirk on their Sled Build promotion.
I went ahead and submitted photos of our TOC tribute sled. If you have a chance please visit the site and add your vote. Of course a vote for our TOC would be appreciated.

That's a pretty cool article nice build

It was a fun project.
Also, if anyone wants to leave a comment, the more comments, the better chance we have to win :-)
-
Nice work!!
-
Added my comment to that site. 8)
I really like your collection in addition to the TOC green Invader!
-
I appreciate all the votes. For the moment the Green Kawasaki is in the lead. But there are others coming up fast. So, if anyone has not voted yet, all votes greatly appreciated.
-
I just took a look.....you have 88 votes!! 8)
Obviously a lot of folks like your green Invader.

It is pretty exciting to see the vote total increasing. There is still a long time till February so I don't know how this will end up. But for the moment I am humbled and gratified that the sled has received so many votes.

Good evening. For the moment it looks like the green Kawasaki is still the overall vote leader, but there is an Arctic Cat sneaking up on us. This is a pretty fun contest and it is interesting to see the diversity of the sleds that have been posted - and how many types I have either owned or ridden over the years. Thank you again for all the votes and encouraging comments.
-
I put up one more vote Mark. Love the sled.
-
Doug, thank you for the affirmation. Yes, we will need to schedule an outing.
-
Good afternoon. I almost can't believe it, but thanks to you guys and gals, the green sled is still the vote leader. This is really exciting for me and I do, very much appreciate everyone's support. It is particularly amazing to me as there are so many sleds entered, and so much amazing work is represented by the various sleds. I am impressed by most of the entries.
If anyone has not had a chance to vote or comment, I will accept all the votes and comments that I can get. https://www.sledbuild.com/1980-kawasaki-invader/
Thank you.

Tomorrow is Ground Hog Day. And, while I have no idea whether there will be 4 more weeks or 6 more weeks of winter, I do know that there are now only 4 more weeks in this contest. I am very grateful for all of the voting support. Thank you all.
-
Wow! Only three weeks to go in the contest and thanks to everyone here the green sled is still the overall voting leader! This is amazing. I am not surprised that the sled is in the lead, after all it is a Kawasaki, I am more surprised that it is my entry. Every now and then I have to pinch myself.
I will say again, thank you for voting for this entry. Thanks also for the encouragement offered thorough this site over the years. I know I have benefitted tremendously from the suggestions and sage advice from others who have been there.
Now if we can just get some snow!
-
The contest is down to the final 10 days. So if you have not already, this is just about the last chance to vote and/or comment.
I am keeping my fingers crossed. Makes it hard to drive the sled, but I am hoping it is worth it.
-
Good luck Mark!
-
Yes, good luck. It seems your Invader has kept a substantial lead through this contest.
Dang....I don't want to jinx you. ::)
-
I was hoping to hear and/or see something as the contest was advertised to close on February 28. Nothing. Then today I spot on the web site that the contest has been extended until the end of March. Not sure what is up here. But I am thinking that there are now another 25 days for me to get votes. So feel free to reach out to family and friends. :-)
-
Good morning. If everything holds true to the information on the Sledbuild web site, the contest is now in its final days and will end at the stroke of midnight on Sunday, March 31.
By popular vote, the green sled is still ahead. But it will all depend upon the electoral college.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
-
"Electoral College" Hah! Good one 8)
Best of luck.
Well deserved if the electoral college doesn't throw a wrench into things... ;)
-
Good morning.
The results are in and unfortunately, the electoral college had other ideas.
Thanks to everyone for your encouragement and support.
At least one of the winners has a Kawasaki engine. https://www.sledbuild.com/winners/
-
Wow, I thought you were kidding about the Electoral College earlier.
i thought the most votes would determine the winner.
Oh well, you had a tremendous entry that obviously had a lot of support.
That Rolloflex sled that won the "electoral college" is pretty cool too.
-
I see that another Kawasaki has been entered. A very nice looking sled!

The 82 LTD that is a beautiful sled. I posted my daughter's pink sled last week. For some reason it still has not shown up on the Sled Build site. Did you have any trouble viewing the site? In my browser I am only seeing a few of the sleds. But, if I use the link to the green sled it takes me right to it.
-
Excellent!
-
I am getting a little confused. I submitted the pink sled a week ago and in that week I have seen no updates or new sled on the Sled Build site.
-
Exciting news, the pink sled has been posted:
