I think I'm done with my intruder!

Well I've put a lot of work and time into my 80 intruder I just can't seem to get it straightened out its getting cold working on it outside it starts 2 pulls warms up then gets real boggy I don't feel like pulling an engine out when its 20 degrees outside I've been through everything but the seals I spray carb cleaner and idle don't change have a good one guys!

Do you still have the plunger primer hooked up??  If so look for air bubbles in the gas lines if you have clear line.  These plunger primers can cause a lot of problems if they are letting air into the fuel system.

Thanks 398 I'm just tired of it! Its very frustrating I did notice like air bubbles in the pto side primer line.

Have you checked the O-rings on the power jets in the carbs? My old 78 Intruder did the same thing, started fine but would bog out as soon as you got on the gas... replaced the O-rings and presto change-O

I have to agree with the others - O-rings and primers.  Get that worked out and you will probably have most if not all of the problem licked.

Thanks guys I put new orings in it when I bought it has a used primer in it that seems to be working ill look it over once more then I'm done. Thanks!

once it starts, try disconnecting the primer and hook the two carbs together. Might be getting too much fuel once warmed up (??) You are using the Air intake silencer right??
