Last Evening's Kawasaki Sighting on TV
« on: May 17, 2021, 08:50:44 AM »
In the category of mindless TV, we watched a re-run of a Hart to Hart episode last evening - Episode 17 or 18, depending upon whether you believe the DVD jacket or the internet, titled "Downhill to Death".  This show was picked specifically because spaced throughout the show are some cameo appearances and one chase scene with 1980 Invaders.  I may need to add one or two of those scenes to one of our next videos.

I actually watch the episode.. it’s season 1 , episode 16 .. in about 48 minutes into the show . he(Robert Wagner)  has a three minute scene with the Kawasaki invaders. But they wreck the sleds at the end . Too bad ..

Last night we revisited Charlie's Angels - Season 3 "Terror on Skis" - the one title was made up of two episodes.

The show is stated to have aired in February 1979 - the sleds could be 78 or 79.  The sleds appear throughout both episodes, more in the first than the second.  And there are some hellacious jumps that they cut away from just after initial touchdown.  From what I saw it looked like those jumps did not land well.

Have to see what nostalgic Kawasaki snowmobile TV I can find for this evening's viewing.

I have seen that one.  There was a movie a few years back call "The big miracle".  It was filmed in the great white north some place and at least one of the sleds was a Kawasaki Invader but missing the badging. Not a bad movie.

Big Miracle is also on my list.  Although the Kawasaki screen time in that film is very short.

The invader was also used in the Omen.

Think it was in the third one. They look like 1980

From Big Miracle this Invader with a redish decal on the hood and no visible brand.

While watching I also believe that I caught sight of a cameo of a 1980 Drifter.

No action shots in this film.  The snowmobiles seemed to be more props than starring roles for this movie.

Regardless, it has been a fun week of watching.
