Wendy, myself and Wendy's dad went to the "Spooky Hollow Antique Engine Show"  north of Barron WI a couple weeks ago.  It is not a real large show but enough to spend the morning looking at stuff and the flea market.  When the did the tractor parade a steam engine goes buy with 2 men and 2 women on it.  As we are getting ready to leave here comes this engine with just the 2 girls driving and they are bring it to the sawmill to be parked and used for the mill power.  It for me was the fun part of the day.

Spent a little time replacing a leaking fuel bowl and rebuilding the carb on my Allis Chalmers "C" tractor. It has a belly mower under it and it gets used every time I mow the yard so it needs to keep going.  A few weeks back I put new seals in the front steering because the oil would leak out in a couple hours so I had to fill it every time I drove it. This yard equipment seems like most other mechanical things.  A little TLC is needed to keep them moving.

Turned out that the treads for the shut off on my new sediment bowl were taped so badly out of alignment the thing would not shut off the gas so I had to use the old body to get the thing to work.  The carb was off 4 times because it would not stop leaking.  I think the float is the wrong one for this carb.  Had to cheat the spec but it did stop leaking for now.

That is one beautiful Blizzard Tory 8)

I'm working on restoring a 1965 Oliver 770 tractor this summer :)

I should really finish my 69 Panther 372 JLO as well...I've had all the parts for years...just haven't finished it yet :-\

I'd also like to rebuild the rear diff in my 79 Trans Am. A friend happened to be driving by as I was having a friendly chat with Smokey! He was kind enough to snap a pic for me :P I did get off with a warning cause the trooper said he liked my car 8)

Nice car and tractor!  I have an Oliver 77 sitting out in the woods because it won't start.  We had a bald eagle nest next to it so I have been staying away until they fly away. Came close to buying a Trans Am back in 78.

Happy fathers day!!!  I get to spend the day with family and work on an Oliver 60 engine with the father in law.  My dad has been gone for many years now but I have many happy memories.

Hi all, My first post on this forum, glad to see there are some year around viewers here. From viewing posts I read many really dedicated and knowledgeable folks talking about there passion for Kawasaki's here. As far as summer projects I am in the middle of painting my boat trailer, but the rain is dragging that process out. But I am considering changing the gearing in my 78 440 Invader. I would like to improve the hole shot. Presently has stock 39 & 21 (1.86 ratio).

Question I have is: Do you have to use the original Kawasaki gears or is there a chance they are standard to another brand such as Cat, Doo or Polaris?

I would like to know this before I go gear shopping. I would  start with the 39 & 19 (2.05 ratio with red spring)

Has anyone else changed these gears?
Thanks, Doug

Hi Doug,  I have plenty of top and bottom gears...  I am sure I or someone else can set you up ;D

As you know, gearing is dependent on your intentions with the sled...  we all have our "opinions" lol...   1.86 is an excellent choice for trail riding.  Many "World Championship" drags have been won with a 1.86 ratio also.  I do have a spare 79' 340 Invader with it's stock gearing if you're looking for "experimentation" gearing.   ;)              Tory

Welcome to the site!!  340 Invader gearing is a good place to start for drag racing.

Thanks for the info guys. I just would like to play around a little with the gears to see the effects on the sled. So now it appears there is a good selection of Kawi. gears available so I don't have to consider interchangeability with another brand.

Can anyone check their parts for a 19 tooth and a red spring? This would make same ratio as a stock 340. I would like to start there.

OK Tory, How do you handle your sales here? I did buy some carburetor slides from you recently off ebay. They worked out well.
