Puting the Drifter to work! - Pics!
« on: February 07, 2013, 09:52:25 PM »
I headed up north for an annual ski weekend and decided to bring up the sled too, to put some miles on her!  Boyne City, MI has a small (about 3.5 mile) walking/snowmobile trail in one of its local parks.  That was all I needed to make me decide to bring the Drifter up.  There was about 16 inches on the ground...maybe more.  Hoping to do some more riding this weekend!

Nice pics!  What's the big knob next to the brake handle?  Brake reservoir for hydraulic brakes.  I didn't get that option on mine :-[

Thanks guys!  It's definitely nicer on the snow than sitting on the trailer, haha.

That thing on the handlebars is a GPS unit I have.  It's a Garmin Foretrex 101.  It doesn't hold maps but it can give you a bunch of other info...max speed, moving avg speed, waypoints, etc.  You can import the routes it plots into Google Earth to see where you were, when, and at what speed.  Neat little thing for less than $100 a few years ago.
