Title: My latest hangar queen......couple pics
Post by: vmax84 on September 01, 2014, 07:20:24 PM
Stumbled into this sled from a member here.   Very happy with my purchase.   Odometer shows 350 miles.

Haven't tried to start it.   Pulled the plugs and the pistons look good.   Sprayed some fogging oil in the cylinders and will hopefully find some time to mess with it.   Picked up a nice parts sled (that runs fantastic) a couple weeks ago, so should be all set in the near future for parts.

Ooooooops, being kinda rude here.    Forgot to say thanks to Doug for selling me his sled, and Bruce for making it easy for me to meet him for an easy exchange of money and sled......thanks to both of you!!!

Nice!  Hard to find hoods with nice original decals.  To my knowledge, nobody took the bull by the horns and made reproduction hood decals for the Invaders.  I had an 80' Invader, but the hood decals were less than acceptable.  Good rider, but not a sled to be proud of when you pulled up next to your buddies.  Good score.

Great find,  when you get it on the trails you will likely be the only guy riding one. ;D

Is there a video somewhere of changing out the crank seals?    I found a write up, but a video would really help.

Thanks.

I'm not aware of a video.  It's not really very hard to change the seals, it just takes a little time.

haha, too bad I never had the chance to meet you, Doug!!!    Bruce was awesome and I really appreciate him meeting me in Houghton Lake with the sled, really helped me out.

Anyway, thanks again and it will be well cared for!!
