the carbs on the intruder are powerjet type with a plastic tee set into the intake end of the carb . well i have one with the plastic tee broken. are there any replacements out there or does any one know of any fixes. i think the carbs are 32mm .can i replace carbs with non powerjet types. if yes any specs. this is the only thing holding up the rebuild. any help appreciated.

Those elbows are pressed in. Thry can be taken out very carefully with pliers.
If you can find another one you can replace it.

I think that we need to find a source for the fittings. I have several carbs that are worthless without them. If you need a replacement VM32 powerjet I probably have a used one on the shelf. Let me know.

I just acquired a carb that has a straight brass fitting pressed into the powerjet whole.
I'll check and see if I can figure out exactly what the fitting is

The fitting in the Mikuni add-on powerjet kit is brass. It looks to be a different style fitting then the originals though. Lloyd, check the picture and see if that's the one you have.

nope Matt that is not the one.
I have wondered if those would work though

Here are some pics of what is in the carb I got.

If you break off the plastic , that is what is underneath.

Close, but it is not.
You can't see it in the picture very well but that fitting has been added to the carb.
I have broken and seen several broken ones.
That has been put there to replace a broken one.

you can heat up the plastic part gently and it comes off fairly easily. the stubby brass fitting that is left can be used if you make sure the hose is secured with a small zip tie or a very small spring clamp. replacing the nylon hose with urethane helps a lot. the fitting shown above is longer than the stubby remnant i am going to a large plumbing supply house monday and i will see what i can find
