Title: Windshield o-rings. What size?
Post by: chaddyg8 on December 11, 2017, 01:04:51 PM
Trying to find the o-ring size for my invader. Mine came with no windshield or o-rings. Dennis Kirk has 3/4 and 1 inch sizes. Thanks for any help.

While I can't speak to the size of the "O" ring, I can suggest an alternative.  We have been using nylon cable ties on our windscreen tabs.  We will use two small ties on each tab and trim the excess.  They work very well.

I will 2nd what mswyka said about the nylon zip ties....they work great.
If you go with rubber o-rings, definitely use the 1" ones. It could be a real struggle to stretch one much smaller over the windshield tabs.
There is another product that Dennis Kirk also carries....part # 27-818.
These rubber tabs work slick as a whistle...I like them.
But.....they are way more expensive (13.95 for a bag of 10) than zip ties or o-rings, and they seem to start cracking and breaking after about 5 years.

I tried o-rings, they last about 1 season before they crack and fall off.  I use the rubber ones that dennis kirk sells with great results.
