Title: Immediate help needed!
Post by: whitley1983 on March 04, 2021, 02:28:07 AM
Can anyone tell me the length of the bolt for the drain on the gear case on the 78 invader? Parts manual says it’s a 6 x 10 mm. Mine rattled out and our vintage race is this weekend!

6 x 10 sounds right to me for the gearcase on the engine.  the 10 would mean 10 mm long just a little over 3/8".  Don't forget to use an aluminum seal washer.

If it is the chaincase then i actually think those might be tapered threads and are a bit bigger than 6 mm diameter.  And, if I remember correctly the chaincase plugs are plastic.

6mm X 1.0 pitch  X 10mm long and like mswyka says be sure to use the washer.
