imo ltds have a longer travel suspension, guides may help as the suspension compresses
I think the non-clipped track would work fine. Lots of newer sleds went cheap and included only 3 idler wheels on the rear axle. As you know, The Kawis have 4...the 2 inner wheels track down the center of the internal drive lug "path" to hold the track side-to-side...as long as you have proper track tension. The Ski Doo MXZ i bought about 5 years ago...I got fairly cheap, because the sled was great, but the track was about shot. It's original track had outer clips on every other lug. I replaced it with a standard track that did not have the bent up clips outside the rails. I have never had a bit of problem with the track not staying in it's proper place, so I'm bettin' you would be good to go. OR....a new paddle track sounds kinda' cool.
