Title: 1980 4/6 LTD
Post by: gixxer6 on October 06, 2014, 08:20:33 AM: I've decided to sell my modified 4/6 LTD. I hate to see it go, but I am low on space, and have some other priorities right now. The sled is in excellent original/modified condition. It is not perfect, but is very close. This sled runs great and is very fast!

Mods are:

-ported cylinders (sleeved)
-.020" Wiseco pistons
-shaved dual plug heads (premium fuel)
-Aaen twin pipes
-EGT's
-Studs
-Clutched
-Adjustable main Mikunis

Last fall I pulled the motor and replaced the crank with a good used crank. Installed new crank seals, and used the good NOS 4/6 head gaskets. I replaced one piston(the other looked like new), and lightly honed the cylinders.

The sled runs great! Starts right up and is quite fast. Although it would be even faster if the clutching was adjusted slightly. With the porting and pipes, it should be running 9,250 RPM, but it's only running around 8,800 now. It would also benefit from a slightly higher engagement. No bogs on this Kawasaki!

The overall original condition is very good. The hood is in EXCELLENT condition, shiney with NO cracks, and very few scratches. It has a new aftermarket black windshield. Original seat cover with no rips, and is still soft! The belly pan is very nice, but I believe it does have one crack. The original track is in great condition, and has a few carbide studs. I just installed a brand new rear shock. The skis are nice and straight with new hard weld wear bars. They do have light surface rust and could use a coat of paint. I installed an Image fuel tank repair kit, so no busted threads!

I am asking $1600. I will be going to the A1 show and can deliver for free if paid in advance.
