Title: bleeding oil pump nozzle lines
Post by: heiner921 on November 21, 2014, 08:54:27 AM
So i replaced the 2 lines going from the oil pump to the engine as well as the inlet line from the oil tank... I bled the inlet line to get air out to the bleeder.  I am trying to bleed the 2 little lines that go to each cylinder.. my manual says with sled running at idle to old the oil pump lever wide open.. I did that and got no results... do I need to crack the fittings for the lines at the cylinders?

You could try cracking them. I have always had good results holding the pump lever wide open.  Any air in the intake line to the pump can cause issues

You will need to hold the lever open for at least 30 sec.    Tory

Are you sure the pump is turning?  Maybe the nozzles are plugged?  Bad banjos?

Idk why the pump wouldn't be turning?... before I even installed then I put a drill on the shaft and spun it while hooked up to the fuel inlet to make sure it would work.... getting tired of taking the motor in and out.  On the 5th time now
