Title: 1980 kawasaki drifter f/a 440 engine gasket kit needed
Post by: 80drifter440 on November 24, 2012, 12:49:36 PM
Hey guys, this is my first post on this site. I have a 1980 Kawasaki Drifter f/a 440. I know that a 1980 Kawasaki drifter f/a 440 does not sound right, but we have come to think that this sled was a Kawasaki prototype or just a motor transplant. The reason we thing it is a prototype is because the vin/serial number on the sled is 000013. The whole number stamped into the sled is SC340AI-000013. Even if it not a prototype I need the rebuild kit for a Kawasaki motor, the tag on the side says TIA440SI. Thanks to every one that can give me any information! I need the gaskets and maybe the pistons.

The engine number tells me that it was out of a 71 arctic cat panther and would be a fan made into a FA

I can set you up with the parts, or if you have a favorite vendor, the Winderosa part number is 711033 for the full gasket set with crank seals.  Pistons are 09-688N.

Panther or Puma actually.
