Do you guys have any tricks to connect the pickup line inside the tank of an Invader without removing the tank, fitting, etc?
-
I use a rod inside the gas line to support the line while it gets lined up and pushed on.

Ditto. Coat hanger wire inside of hose to line up the fitting. I can then push the hose on with another, longer piece of hose.
-
i tape the fuel line to a long exten,leave an inch sticking out, a little heat, slide it on the fitting, a good spray of carb cleaner on the tape, a minute later pull the rod and tape out
-
I have a really long pair of needle nose pliers that I can hold the new line and push it on through the fill neck
-
thats a long tool..... ::)

Lloyd has the plan! I use the same technique. I have a real long pair of needle nose pliers that have the 90 degree jaw, they work better, because you can see the fitting better when connecting the hose.
Maybe there's a better method, but it works for me. Hope our advice helps you, JDmatt. Best of Luck!
