Looking for a set of ceptor crank case halves.
-
LTD will work unless you are being really picky. Old ones no good?

I'm being picky :) 8). Want a case with the 530 stamping. The aluminum casting where the pto crank seal goes is broken off in spots. I'm baffled as to what happened that caused that. Maybe a pto bearing let loose at one time in its life. The casting on the bottom half is split by the bolt holes too.

I wonder if the bottom half of an LTD might help or is the top half to bad to ignore??

I believe the crankcase halves are machined to match and shouldn't be swapped.

That is true but it would be worth a try considering what it's for. I have a couple LTD motors apart so it would be hard to check when I am in the Thunder home turf soon.

Both halves are shot. Need both.
