I bought 2 Invaders last winter, one is a 340 all original and in great shape, the other says 340 on the chassis but it has a 4/6 LTD motor in it with the twin pipes and CDI ect. This one needs new gaskets so while it is out I got to wondering whether or not the chain case had different gears from a 340 to a 440 4/6. If so I want to put 440 4/6 gears in it to make it like factory.
Also, the guy I bought it from put the 440 clutch on the 340 motor since it was shot, but he doesnt remember if he changed weights over or not. Which weights were on what motor?
Finally, is there any aftermarket (preformance) Springs and better weights for the 340 and 440/4/6 motors? Thanks for reading my long post. sorry for all the questions!

The 340 has 18 x 37 gearing, yellow spring, E ramp with a total weight of 55.1 grams
The 4/6 has 21 x 38 gearing, black spring, F ramp with a total weight of 54.8 grams
Both use 66 pitch chain.

If you use the 340 setup, it will have fast low end, but top end will suffer. I would go with the 4/6 setup as it will utilize the power from the 4/6 motor better.

sounds good, Hopefully when they swapped the motor they swapped the chain case and gears as well. Looks like ill be counting teeth!

If you need some 4/6 gears let me know. I have an extra set.
