Title: Suspension Spring Adjuster Tool
Post by: dr1979-340 on November 12, 2015, 08:21:10 AM
Anyone have a 57001-3507 Spring Adjuster Tool?  I want to make one and need a good pattern.  I've busted up my knuckles enough!!

We have been using a Craftsman breaker bar to adjust the springs.  The hole in the end of the wrench is the right diameter for the end of the spring.

The breaker bar is the bar that is second from the bottom in this photo.

Thanks!!  I'll see what's out at my Dad's shop.  That's easier than trying to make one.

Any chance I could hire you to come organize my tools?

If you are wanting a tool resembling the Kawasaki tool search for an adjustable hook spanner wrench.

Lloyd, the socket holders were more than I wanted to spend, but in the grand scheme of things, well worth what I paid. I spent way too many years fishing around in the bottom of the tool box for the correct socket size.  As far as I am concerned, these get two thumbs up around here.  I will send you pictures of my two wrench organizers.

Mark,

After moving to my new place my garage is an absolute mess.  After you're done at Llyods, stop at my place and organize my garage.  I'll give you 6 broken grab handles, 4 cracked dash panels, 7 cracked filler necks, and 11 slightly used crank seals with matching melted pistons.   ;)

Thanks!

He's talking about the 4 suspension  springs , not the shock spring.   The drifter uses just a shock not shock/spring like the invaders.   Mike

Can't pass up a deal like that!  Those parts would  let us finish two new sleds!

Me and my dad where gonna make some of these tools.  Thinking now it might be a good idea because seems like a lot of people can benefit from them.    We did make a tool out of  piping. It was thick and it worked great didn't bend at all.     I'll have to find it and snap a pic and perhaps take orders??  Lol.

Mike, I'd like to see a picture of it to give me an idea on how to fabricate one.
