Title: Newbie, with a couple pics......

Feeling the urge to complete my power "trio" of vintage sleds, and the Kawasaki Invader is the one I'm looking into.   

Wanted to say hello.

Here's a pic of my 1983 Yamaha and 1980 Skidoo.

Thank you.   Here's the sled I'm looking at.   Guy says it runs good.   About 1500 miles on it.   Wants $500.   Has some spare parts as well that he would throw in with the deal.   

Only thing that bothers me is parts......my understanding the 340 is harder to get parts for than the 440.

most parts are the same as a 440, except for carbs, top end of the motor, air cleaner carb inserts, and drive gears. there are lots of those 340's around still.

While I have never paid $500 for a sled, I can't say enough good about the 340 Invader.  I had mine out yesterday and it is a blast to ride.  Generally I don't have any problem finding parts for Invaders and Intruders - LTDs and Interceptors on the other hand can be more of a challenge - but with time and patience just about everything that you will need is still available as used, NOS, or aftermarket.  Good luck.

340's are a BLAST!!! I loved mine , shouldn't have sold it!!

VMax- I see that Invader has a Michigan registration on it. I am in Michigan too and have a 340 motor that ran when I pulled it from the sled. I used some of the parts, but none of the actual 340 parts from the sled. Where are you located?

Buy the Invader anyway. they are nice sleds. You can exchange most of the parts on the 340 and 440. have a blast. nice VMAX.
