Good afternoon. We have a 1980 SkiDoo Everest 500E in the shop.
Looks a little rough and I am thinking I need a new clutch. Anyone know if these clutches easy to find?

I would start with an ebay search. If nothing comes up then it gets a little more complicated and expensive.

Good thought. Thank you.

Sled has been disassembled and re-assembled. By all appearances it is ready to go. Attempted a start today and have no spark. Two sets of points and two independent coils so at least one of the cylinders should spark. I am thinking that kill switch or dead man may be faulty.

Have you you sorted this out? You can disconnect the engine harness plug on 377s and 503s, it will bypass all the ignition and kill switches. This will narrow it down to the magneto coil, ignition coils, points plugs/boots. If it does start you will have to choke it out.

Yes, actually it was pretty embarrassing - I managed to confuse the metric point gap for the English point gap and drop a decimal in the process. So here I am setting the points and thinking to myself: "wow, that is a really big gap for a set of points" So, after I read the manual in the clear light of day I realized that I had goofed. With the correct point gap she started the first time and runs great. Had a chance to take her out for a spin on the lake last Friday.
Here is a link to a cobbed up video of the event: https://youtu.be/F_Qi79GtyxI
