Title: 2 Invader questions...

Building a vintage race sled out of a -80 Invader 340...

1: Kimpex pistons in Invader 340? Would it work in the long term or should i go NOS Oem?

2: Single seat for invader? Anybody reshaped there seat to Interceptor style or used a different seat that fits?

I would go OEM NOS. Last person that tried aftermarket pistons wrecked a few cylinders but I am not sure if he used Kimpex. I do have OEm if you need them.

 Wouldn't the rings be more important than the pistons?

 I would be comfortable using aftermarket pistons. But would want to make sure the rings were right for a chrome bore

seems like the aftermaket 340 pistons are really for a fan cooled sled a nd are a 'will work'...kinda.i havent used any,but hear the locating pins are not in the same spot.
