Hi folks new to the forum and new to the sleds just had to get my 79 invader when I'd seen it. Been a kawi guy for ever. Anyhow do any of you have any ideas on a better replacement O-ring for the main jet in the carbs. I know the E-10 Is eating them up and I found nothing but bits of rubber floating around in the carbs, Other than that they were clean.
Also want to make sure i'm on the right track.. if the o rings are shot than it will be pig rich off idle right? When i ran it it would do ok if i feathered the throttle till i pinned it but if i just nailed it even when it was at 5k it would bog until it cleared up a bit than ran ok. i know it wasn't lean cause i pulled the enricher to see if it helped or made it worse and the latter happened.

This is from the parts interchange thread:
Carb O ring: Kawasaki pn # 92055-044, Arctic Cat pn# 6505-042, John Deere pn# R34812 (supposedly cheaper than Cat), McMaster-Carr pn# 9464k12 $4.62 for pack of 100

I don't think anyone has commented on any of the above sources being better or worse in terms of longevity. However, given they are $4.62 for a pack of 100, just change them at the beginning of each season and you will be set.

Thanks guys for the reply. I have a couple carb kits on the way and have new fuel line do im hoping for some white stuff. that is assuming everything works out.

I was unaware of such a place! Thank you Trucker.
I just ordered a pack of 100 and they were in stock. No more chasing O-rings. Should be a lifetime supply. I wonder if they fit other Mic carbs?
