When Kawasaki sleds first came out, all the bolts faced the same direction.. Seems they built them from one side of a conveyor ..

Interesting.  Maybe parts were installed with the first few parts (rear suspension) on its side?  Didn't Artic Cat factories build the first year and a half or so Kawasakis?

At least Kawi did their best to install "all" the bolts...  as far as I know.   Nothing has fallen off yet.  My cat on the other hand, well we won't get into that.

If its not hijacking this post...what's the history on the little inviter...hardly ever spoke of here, but looks a lot like a snojet to me.

Inviter, and Intriguer 's  I beleive are basically rebadged Sno-Jet's  If I'm not mistaken Astro and SST 's.

They evolved slightly into the Drifter's

 Great sleds all of them.

i do know of all the parts books i have the kawasaki parts books are by far the best, they even give what size the nuts and bolts are and the lenght of each bolt, i never seen another parts book do this, it sure makes thing a lot easier when rebuilding things you just write down what you need and go to the hardware store

Interesting fact about the Inviter.  A sled that I remember being almost unstoppable in deep snow when I was 19 years old and 170lbs seems to get buried quite easily at 47 years old and 300lbs.

All I can come up with is that the consistency of the snow today must be a lot different than it was almost 30 years ago.  :P
