Title: Intruder Crank Gear
Post by: Joel on October 11, 2013, 07:37:01 AM
I've got the 82 Intruder motor going back together and the crank gear that drives the oil pump doesn't "shrink" back down and seat onto the crank. It's just loose enough that it will grab at times when rotated. What would you do? Joel

Try another gear.

Are you sure you are putting it on far enough?  If I recall there is a subtle step in the crank right at the gear.  If in the correct position, I agree, go to a different gear.

Does anyone have an extra gear available? This is the only Intruder/Invader bottom style case I own. Everything else I have is 81-82 Ltd. parts. Thanks, Joel
