Title: Invader Suspension Bracket Question
Post by: Metalman on November 29, 2013, 04:42:35 PM
I got the track off the 80 Invader today and found the rear suspension brackets have been previously welded.
I have a couple of other suspensions for parts that have bent rails, etc so I can't just slide  one of those in.
If I drill the rivets and put on different brackets should I use blind rivets to attach the brackets to the rail or can I use grade 5 or 8 bolts?

I normally use bolts and lock nuts to re-attach suspension brackets.  Off hand I can't remember if they were 1/4 - 28 or 10 - 24.

I have a suspension I installed that was completely bolted together and have not had any issues with it.

Stainless steel bolts were used to keep the rust to a minimum
