Does anyone have two OEM pistons for my -79 Intruder for a reasonable price?
There are pirate pistons that can be trusted, it may well be fine too ;)
Have heard of PSI pistons should be fine... ::)
Must be able to send to Sweden :-*
-
invader /intruder pistons are the same, kinda hard to find oem's imo....spi's do work well and cheap....
-
SPIs are fine, I have run them in my rider for about 5 years now. You can also order Wiseco - which are high quality but $$. I will arrange shipping to Sweden if you like. Send me a PM and I will get you a quote.

I've had SPI's in my 130HP Ski Doo for the last season and a half without a problem.
I think I have 1 NOS Invader/Intruder Piston (no rings) that I'd sell. But I'm not sure about shipping to Sweden...

Thank you guys :-*, but now I have ordered these:

BUT now looking for my brother two pistons to their LTD -80
Are there any of you who has those? I do not find any on Ebay :-\
We bought pistons last year to his LTD but it was the wrong model year :(
So is there anyone who is interested in them let me know ;)

i would have gone with the spi brand myself, i think an L ring on top will give better performance... imo.... 8)

and 80 ltd pistons are a hard one to find....

Don't know if it will help, but I tripped over this a few weeks ago.

Those are for the 81-82 mono head LTD motor.

and .10 over means re-chrome or sleeve, not cheap.so,can an invader piston be run in a 4/6?i'm 1 cly away from a 4/6 top end less 1 piston, guess i'll mock up the motor to see in vader pistons will work.
-
The diference between the Invader and 4/6 piston is the ring gap location. Invader pistons will run in the 4/6 but the ring gap is on the intake bridge. When the ring gets worn it can catch an edge and create some real trouble. 81 & 82 LTD's use a larger piston pin.

Yes it seems so :-\
-
and when you do find them it's like 550 pistons, don't want to fry one :o

Hahaha, yes, they grow well not on the trees ;)
-
so i compared 3007 invader/intruder pistons with 3012 intruder pistons from 81 and up....12's have 2 rectangle rings that are both lower on the piston, top locating pin is in center, bottom pin moved to about 2 o'clock,07 top pin 5 o clock, bottom pin dead center.looks like they were trying for more durablity and had to relocate the anti rotation pins when they moved the rings down on the piston
-
Okay, then I can run with both :)
