We have a pair of 340 Invader engines spread out on the workbench and need new rings for 2 pistons. Pistons are OEM NOS. Please let me know if you have any spare rings.

Still looking

Mark
Are they the same as the rings in a 340 T-1 engine?
-
Lloyd, I don't know enough to know I have not played around with any T1s. Do we have access to the part numbers?
-
Mark
I'll get the Deere part numbers and see what we can find out
-
John Deere part number AM55080 (late model) or AM54828 (early)
AM54828 crosses too 13008-3004
Kawasaki lists 13008-3002 for a 340 Invader
There are 3 sets on e-bay
Aftermarket pistons are the same. I would think rings for any Kawasaki 340 will work

Tom, is that the difference between the 3002 and the 3004?
-
i dont have any 3004s to look at, sorry.....i have 1 set of 3002
-
The pistons that I have list 13001-3002 fore the part number. They require the "L" shaped top ring.

There are some on Ebay now.

Tom, what does a NOS set of rings look like? I just picked up two that were represented to be NOS, but I am skeptical. The rings were not wrapped in the piece of oiled paper that rings are normally wrapped in and they look dirty to me. How would the rings normally come and look?

mine are oem kaw, in box, no paper...L ring is .081 thick...bottom is .059...
